"Don't take my picture" she said as she wailed on a reporter

They chant Is Communist Revolution the only solution?
These are some of the Liberal Left which supports the current administration.

And another group.

Socialists contingent going to the rally chanting "Muslims are welcome here, Don't give in to racist Fear!"

Governor Quin of Illinois
Listen as he calls for change and speaks out against the bureaucracy (? the left controls the congress and a liberal runs the White House so who is he referring to?)

"The list of organizations offering their official endorsements for Saturday’s “One Nation” rally reads like a who’s who of the far-left in America"  Unions and some of these organizations provided buses and transportation for their supporters to attend the Oct 2, Rally.

Constitutional Democracy is for all Americans

Before everyone goes off the deep end... let's remember just what it is we're attempting to achieve, together as citizens of America, WE ARE THE PEOPLE.

This great country was founded by men and yes... women, who through personal sacrifice of their wealth, self-interest and literally putting themselves in jeopardy of being hung for treason, put forth the foundation of what brought us all to where we are today.

  • It isn't "us" against "them" or "blue against red" nor "young against old".  We all desperately need to get this country back on track and we need to do it by the power of a well-informed vote.
  • We need to have a way of monitoring, to make sure that sacred process is protected from fraud.
  • It's time that we all become acutely informed... whether it's regarding what laws are being passed that allows city officials to give themselves obscene raises... or to hold the registrar of voters responsible for protecting our due right in the booth... and when any elected official doesn't do their job, we make it abundantly clear we'll vote them out and put someone in who will "do the will of the people."
  • But most importantly of all... we need to understand just what it is that we should be willing to lay it all on the line for.
I'm starting this blog to inform. To enlighten and to encourage those who are about to give up. It's going to serve as a reminder of all that was hoped for us, by the founding fathers.

Lesson 3 - George Washington's Words of Wisdom

Today I'd like to have you read some of the quotes from George Washington.

This is George Washington in his younger years... a powerful man...

Before we look at those I want to share with you, something to think about as we have the up-and-coming elections.  In 1789 one of the first acts of the first Congress, was to pass the clear and concise wording for the Oath or Affirmation of office in compliance with Article VI of our Constitution.

Background...  George Washington was administered this Oath or Affirmation of office, in accordance with Article II Section 1, on April 29th 1789 ... he added "So help me God."

And then he said the following:

"I shall take my present leave; but not without resorting once more to the benign Parent of the human race, in humble supplication, that since He has been pleased to favor the American people with opportunities for deliberating in perfect tranquillity, and dispositions for deciding with unparalleled unanimity on a form of Government for the security of their union, and the advancement of their happiness, so his divine blessing may be equally conspicuous in the enlarged views, the temperate consultations and the wise measures, on which the success of this government must depend."

I truly hope that one day soon, the Oath or Affirmation will again return to having deep meaning to our elected official.  (In God I Trust.)

George Washington, regarding the "Power will always be in the people":

"The power under the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing: and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can, and undoubtedly will, be recalled."

Wow... history repeats itself, this very thing that George Washington proclaimed is happening now, today across our great nation. People are speaking up and educating themselves, they are becoming focused and that focus is upon the Constitution and what it embodies. They are making choices and holding their representatives accountable for their actions while in office. The message couldn't be any more clear... do the will of the people, return to the blueprint of the Constitution, which is what secures our Democracy and prosperity across our nation.

He also said, while addressing the Constitutional Convention Delegates:

"If, to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disapprove, how can we afterwards defend our work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God."

Be true to thine own self. Raise your standards, if you are aren't being honest with yourself, or you are following along like sheep... step aside and take a moment to reconnect with what your truth is. What is your faith and how do you believe you can conduct yourself in an honorable manner? What action(s) can you take in your life that represent that core truth within you? Parents teach by their own actions and deeds. Words fall upon deaf ears, but they watch your every move to see what your truth is. The Constitution is the road map for the destination of this Democratic nation. Are you focused on what your goal is? What is your destination? If you have no idea, that's OK... as long as you're honest about that to yourself and then take action to educate yourself about it and to clarify your destination. Once you have clarity, a sense of purpose and guidance from your Divine Providence it will bring you peace and open the way for you to conduct your life in a manner that is harmonious with your beliefs.

A few more quotes from Washington, then we're going to begin to really understand our Constitution. I took the time to share the quotes from the founding fathers, because I wanted you to begin to feel what they felt as they carefully laid out the plan.

About our youth and their education Washington said:

"A primary object...should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing... than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?"

For our Democracy's survival, we MUST raise the quality of education and place the strongest emphasis upon how important education is to our survival. Whether you have children or not, our nation will one day be at the mercy of our children and what course they choose to take. He couldn't have said it better!

Washington said in his farewell address:

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.... Let it simply be asked, where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice?"

In my next post, we will begin to go through the Constitution and look at it, digest it and begin to see why it is so important that we understand it and keep it ever alive and well, guiding us as a great Democracy and Nation.

Here is what George Washington said regarding the adoption of the Constitution:

"...it will demonstrate as visibly the finger of Providence as any possible event in the course of human affairs can ever designate it."

Lesson 2 - Getting to know the mind of Thomas Jefferson

Today I want to share some of the thoughts which Thomas Jefferson had regarding the Constitution and how he believed we should be governed as a Nation.

Quotes from Thomas Jefferson:
  • "In questions of power, then, let no man more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution."
  • "To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt."
I am for a government rigorously frugal and simple."

Read this one over a few times and think about what is happening today, in our National governing bodies and in the States' legislatures.
  • "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."

I am certain that now more than ever, people who have been afraid to speak freely, what they believe is right and good for this great nation, should stand up and be heard... even if they risk loosing friends or fear rifts between family.  It is our obligation to ourselves and this country to be heard.
  • "Say... whether peace is best preserved by our giving energy to the government, or information to the people.  This last is the most certain and most legitimate engine of government.  Educate and inform the whole mass of the people.  Enable them to see that it is in their interest to preserve peace and order, and they will preserve them.  And it requires no very high degree of education to convince them of this.  They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
I have to ask, what would those who want to do the opposite do?... Might they take action to weaken the quality of the educational system... you have to ask yourself what the motives are behind it all.
  • "The good sense of the people will always be found to be the best army.  They may be led astray for a moment, but will soon correct themselves."
When reflecting on the Constitution, I believe you need to more fully understand what the creators held dear to their hearts and what they envisioned that most sacred document would yield for our Nation, for those generations who would follow.

Nothing is gained by talking all of the time, but by reading and listening and educating yourself about all sides of an issue.  Then you will be armed with truth and better able to form your own opinions upon that issue.  I encourage everyone to search for the truth and then decide for themselves.

Lesson 1 - Creators of the Constitution

Let's begin with Daniel Webster.

Why?  Well if logic prevails, the Constitution needed to be written in a way that could leave no doubt what the creators intended it to mean.  Words are powerful and they are often subject of many meanings, therefore it was most important that they chose their words wisely to convey their actual intent.

Who exactly was Daniel Webster? I won't bore you with details but you need to do a little homework, after all nothing worth anything comes for free... and yes, I want you to think because if I wanted you to be mindless sheep, then where would that get us all? Right? SO... begin to think and question everything!

This is Daniel Webster... the photo is from Wikipedia's site, to read about him click here!

File:DanielWebster ca1847 Whipple 2403624668-crop.jpg

Language according to Webster's Dictionary is "Speech or writing; any means of communicating."

So, given that... what did he mean by communicating?  "to transmit; give or exchange (information); message"

What "Messages" were the founders of the constitution giving us?

This blog is going to be an unfolding of information, it won't be a "quick pill" you take to get it all in one shot. If it's worth knowing, it's worth taking the time to learn about.

Let's start with some of Daniel Websters thoughts... as repeated from the pocket version of "The Constitution of the United States"  published by National Center for Constitutional Studies 2009/2010 (I bought my copies on eBay for about $3 bucks a piece, free shipping!)

Daniel Webster said:

"I regard it [the Constitution] as the work of the purest patriots and wisest statesmen that ever existed, aided by the smiles of a benignant [gracious] Providence...it almost appears a Divine interposition in our behalf...."

In another piece he wrote:

"...I am committed against every thing which, in my judgment, may weaken, endanger, or destroy  [the Constitution] ... and especially against all extension of Executive power;  and I am committed against any attempt to rule the free people of this country by the power and the patronage of the Government itself..."

Think about that last sentence... what do you believe he was saying, how does this make you feel?  In today's time, do you see where there is any case of an "attempt to rule the free people of this country by the power and the patronage of the Government itself?"  If so, what should be done about it?  What steps can we "the people" take to change the tide?

Here's one more thing Webster said:

"It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions.  There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern.  They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."

What do you think Daniel meant by that?  What do you see happening, now in your lifetime that speaks to what Daniel was referring to?  How does that make you feel?  Are you awake? Are you keeping your ear to the rails of the track, can you hear the train coming?

This is enough to digest in one night or day... but begin to think, separate yourself from the herd, for the moment... don't follow along blindly... for whatever your reason might be, take a moment to really digest what Daniel Webster was saying.

Next... we'll learn about what Thomas Jefferson had to say about the Constitution and his belief of what it was all about.

Till then...

We ARE "The People"

Before everyone goes off the deep end... let's remember just what it is we're attempting to achieve now and for the future generations.  Together as citizens of America, WE ARE THE PEOPLE.

  • But most importantly of all... we need to understand just what it is that we should be willing to lay it all on the line for.
I'm starting this blog to inform. To enlighten and to encourage those who want to know more about why the Constitution is so critical, and for those who are looking for a better life here in America. It's going to serve as a reminder of all that was hoped for us, by the founding fathers of our nation.

I ask only that here in this blog we declare a place of peace, we suspend the hate and the division and put an end to the party line mentality that is running rampant throughout our nation.  That is what will divert us from the very goals we should focus upon while seeking healthy and proactive change.  It isn't important if you're an Independent, or a Democrat or Republican... what IS important is that you have a clear vision of what we as a nation should try to achieve.

Till next time,
